Where clarity meets mechanical depth
The moonphase mechanism advances once every 24 hours, a quiet transition that takes place precisely at midnight.
Through the small aperture in the plate, this moment becomes visible, as the switching wheel gently moves the moon forward in its cycle. It is a detail that connects motion and time in a subtle, almost meditative way.
The indication can be adjusted intuitively by moving the hands between late evening and early morning, allowing the wearer to engage directly with the rhythm of the mechanism.
The dial is the result of an exceptionally demanding process, where each opening is carefully shaped to create depth and layered geometry.
These surfaces are then finished by hand, with polished bevels catching the light from every angle. The circular graining applied to the dial alone requires several days of work, giving the piece its calm, almost flowing texture.
What appears minimal at first reveals itself as a composition of countless subtle transitions, shaped entirely by hand.
At the center, the moon itself is formed from genuine lunar meteorite, paired with aventurine to create a dialogue between material and illusion.
Around it, the gear train unfolds in a carefully calculated architecture, guiding the flow of energy with precision. Frosted bridges and polished bevels bring structure and light into balance, revealing the movement as a living landscape.
Beneath it all, a layer of aventurine extends across the base, adding depth and creating the impression of looking into a vast, mechanical universe.
The baseplate carries both technical information and a deeper narrative.
More than half of its surface is hand engraved with one of the earliest lunar maps, originally created by Johannes Hevelius over 300 years ago. This historical reference connects the watch to humanity’s first attempts to understand the moon.
Alongside it, the aventurine layer continues across the movement, leaving only the essential structural points exposed, reinforcing the sense that the entire mechanism exists within its own universe.
